Projects

Projects serve as containers for your Smart NPCs in Neocortex. Each project holds all the necessary data, settings, and configurations for managing a unique NPC. The Projects page provides a centralized interface for handling these projects efficiently.

You can access the Projects page by clicking on the Projects icon in the sidebar of the Neocortex dashboard.

Creating a Project

To create a new project:

1. Navigate to the Projects page from the sidebar menu.
2. Click the Create New Project button. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to enter a name for the project.
3. Enter a descriptive name that reflects the purpose of your NPC.
4. Click the Create button to finalize the process.

The new project will appear in the list on the Projects page, ready for customization.

Deleting a Project

To delete a project:

1. Locate the project you want to delete on the Projects page.
2. Hover over the project to reveal action buttons.
3. Click the Delete button.
4. Confirm the deletion in the prompt.

Deleting a project is permanent, so ensure it is no longer needed before proceeding.

Copying a Project ID

Each project is assigned a unique Project ID for API calls and integrations. To copy a Project ID:

1. Hover over the desired project on the Projects page.
2. Click the ID: ... button to copy the ID to your clipboard.

Handle Project IDs securely to prevent unauthorized access.

Project Creation Limits

The number of projects you can create depends on your subscription plan. To view your limit:

1. Navigate to the Projects page.
2. Check the usage indicator at the top, which shows the number of projects created and the maximum allowed for your plan.

If you need more projects, consider upgrading your plan to increase the limit.
